Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the beginning of summer. We were able to raise $250 for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness ) with the help of our fabulous bingo callers Liz and Janna , our donors, Grumpy’s NE, Ingebretsen’s and Fjallreaven. And thanks to the fine folks who donated money to play bingo. The early evening started out with some music from a local group of teens the Untitled Tracks. Indoors we had hand crafted pieces, art and jewelry for sale, along with yummy Scandinavian snacks . Our son Anders made fresh heart waffles for visitors to enjoy, and our daughter collected flowers from the neighborhood and made bouquets to set around, Erik worked his demonstrating magic and showed how we make our spoons. Then Liz and Janna took the stage for bingo calling and funny banter between the two of them. As the sun went down, Noise Quean Ant played a chill set while images of Norway illuminated the wall of the Hollywood theatre. And of course, the night ended with as big a bonfire as one can have in the middle of the city.
